Bryan Medical announced today they have started processing COVID-19 tests in-house rather than having to send the test out to 3rd party labs.
CEO John Woodrich, at the regular media briefing, announced testing started Wednesday and is currently only being done on in-patients. When more of the supplies to run the tests arrive he said they will expand in-house testing to the drive-thru patients.
Woodrich also said that the drive-thru testing facility at the Bryan LifePointe Campus is currently only doing about 60-tests per day but they have the capacity to do up to 110 tests per day. He advised anyone showing any type of symptoms to get a physician order for the test and there should not be any delays in getting the test performed.
He also outlined the improvement in the 3rd party testing noting Bryan has only 74 tests still pending of which 62 of those tests were from the Wednesday drive-thru clinic.
