Robyn Burnison

Hey, I’m Robyn – the on-air bestie you didn’t know you needed!

You’re probably wondering how I got here.  I’m a small town Nebraska girl – I’m talkin’ K-12 all in one building and a graduating class of 40 – but contrary to Chris Young, I was not “Raised On Country.”  Nope, I was raised on classic rock (thanks Dad!) and pop music (Team Britney forever!). I would literally tell my friends that my car didn’t play country music.  After graduating from Louisville High School in 2012, my best friend Malanie forced me into country music. In 2013, I went to my first country concert – Brantley Gilbert and Kip Moore at the Pershing Auditorium (R.I.P.) I fell in love with country music and as they say – the rest is history.

In 2015, after getting my Associate’s Degree in Photography from Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, I transferred to UNL thinking I was going to major in Advertising & Public Relations.  However, after taking thee Rick Alloway’s “Principles of Audio” class, I found my calling and immediately switched my major to Broadcasting, graduating with my Bachelors Degree in Broadcast Journalism in 2018.  Proud J-School and UNL Alum! GBR! ❤️

Fast forward to February of 2020, I was hired on as the Sales & Promotions Assistant at Broadcast House Media, home of Froggy 98 and four other radio stations.  When an opportunity to get back into on-air work was presented at the beginning of 2023, I jumped in to spend my weekends with all of you.  I truly believe hard work, dedication and my passion for radio has gotten me where I am today!

Fun Fact:  I can name all 50 states in alphabetical order thanks to the “Fifty Nifty” song!

xoxo, Robyn
