Cory Edmondson
You may ask yourself: “Why is Lincoln, Nebraska so fortunate to have a radio disc jockey – who is so charming and delightful – like Cory Edmondson?”
The deep roots of this dynamic Nebraska radio combination dates back to 1931 in Elwood, Nebraska. The winner of the 1931 Pretty Baby Contest at the Gosper County Fair was Cory’s grandfather. As you can tell, “good looks” run in the family. When grandpa was 6, the family traveled in a 1934 Chevy to eastern Oregon. Many years later, the grandson traveled back to the capital of The Cornhusker State.
But why Lincoln? To answer that, you must know that I’m “too good” for Ogallala radio but “too bad” for Omaha radio. When I arrive at the station, I pour myself a warm cup of coffee. Then I pour the cup of hot coffee over my head. On occasion, I eat massive amounts of cupcakes. You could say that I’m very concerned with my diet and nutrition. Many listeners have concerns about my age and ability to keep up with trending country music. I know radio isn’t a mental game – it’s physical. Most would agree, I have a great body for radio.
I’ve been to college and received degrees. Therefore, I’m not some radio low-life drifter. I would like to think everybody enjoys listening to me. However, there’s always those occasional weirdos who don’t like me. But give me a chance. I’m charming and delightful. I’m Cory Edmondson.
