Lincoln Police were called to the 2300 block of Superior around 10 p.m. on April 26th  to check the welfare of a person.  Neighbors called police to report that an intoxicated female was seen wandering through yards.  An officer was able to locate a female matching the description provided by the caller in the 1700 block of Superior laying on the ground.

The officer immediately identified that she was highly intoxicated and needed to be placed into protective custody to go to The Bridge.  As the officer explained this she became non-compliant and tried to walk away.

The officer caught up to her as she fell on the ground.  As the officer attempted to take her into custody, she became aggressive and resisted the officer.  Despite trying several times to de-escalate the woman, she began kicking him in the legs, arms, and body.  When another officer arrived, the woman refused to get into the police cruiser as well and was threatening to assault the other officer.

During a search, officers located a glass pipe with residue that tested positive for methamphetamine.

26-year-old Christina Trusow  was eventually arrested for Assault on a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
