Car Crash Caught Live On TV

By Steve King Apr 30, 2021 | 7:11 AM

People who work in the world of news dream of being at the right place at the right time. I mean,  Wolf Blitzer was in a hotel in Baghdad when the bombs started flying during Desert Storm. Geraldo Rivera was embed in a Hummer during Desert Shield. You see storm chasers live on TV and online with the cameras rolling.

But those are the times when the reporters are TRYING to get the story. Then there are the reporters who are in the middle of the action and didn’t plan on it.

This is one of those moments.

Kelly Roberts was in downtown Memphis when the news anchors threw it to her…at that very moment, you hear a car honking at white SUV. But that didn’t stop what was about to happen. Kelly’s camera camera caught a pretty sized accident…right behind her.

Her face made a slight wince when the accident happened, but Kelly was a total pro saying,

“Mmhm. Yeeeep, and I’m not here to cover the crash that just happened behind me, but I hope everyone’s okay there…”

and she continued with her story.

Thankfully, no one was hurt and Kelly went over to the accident where medical professionals and police were helping the people who were in the accident.
