Residents of Lincoln and the surrounding area will have a chance to take part in a global development of another COVID-19 vaccine.
Lincoln based Be Well Principal Investigator Dr. Mark Carlson tells KLIN News the vaccine is developed differently than the current available vaccines with the hope of providing increase antibody effectiveness and a longer duration of immunity.
Carlson says they are teaming with a company out of Canada for the trial. He says, “The vaccine is based on plant production rather than mRNA or adenovector like the other vaccines. We believe the plant production model provides significant advantages.”
Study participants will receive the vaccine against COVID-19 when they complete all study visits. Anyone wanting more information can contact Be Well Clinical Studies at 402-937-9392. You can also log on to www.bewellclinicalstudies.com for more information.
