Embedding Commercials In Your Brain Is Coming To A Dream Near You

By Steve King Jul 6, 2021 | 7:53 AM

Somewhere between cool and creepy there is a commercial coming to your dream very soon.

It’s not a joke, there is actually research being done right now in order to place advertising into your dreams. Who is behind it?

Coors.

Before you call BS on this, The people who are studying this have come up with a way to embed commercials in your brain by having people in the study watch and 8 hour “soundscape” video. The contents of the video attached to the pleasure center of the brain and embeds itself while you sleep.

Sounds kind of creepy doesn’t it?

This is called a dream incubation technique and it is being called a “slippery slope” because it opens doors for other advertisers to infiltrate your dreams. Research has shown that we are all more susceptible to manipulation while we sleep.

While the research has been done, nothing conclusive has been said about the results of the testing…or so they are saying because other companies are looking into the research to find ways to use it for their products.

If you go back in time, around 40 years, there was research that said that  inaudible whispering in the music you would hear at at a store would make you more susceptible to purchasing more items or expensive items while you shopped. Basically, instilling impulsive mind habits. That theory didn’t pan out. (I think Target figured out how to do that with the $1 section at the entrance of the store)

Yet, with science and technology where it is today, the embedding of commercials in your brain while you sleep does seem plausible.

Will it happen?

Who knows.

We may never know, unless Hormel finds a way to coerce you to buy cases of Spam
