They say a picture is worth a 1000 words. In this case, a picture was worth a toy that you can use for your you’re model train sets.
A woman in Berlin just happened to catch one of the best pictures the pictures of her career, a naked man chasing a pig in the countryside.
As if this story wasn’t strange enough, the story behind it is that the man chasing the pig was chasing it because the wild pig/boar had stolen his laptop bag which had food in it.
Well, here’s where everything goes sideways. The woman who snapped the picture of this extremely odd event had been getting a lot of requests for work because of the nature of this photo, which was not staged.. Unfortunately for her, the people who make the toys for the model train sets had taken the photo and made it into a plastic re-enactment and she is none too happy about it.
Why? Because she is not being compensated.
While it does make sense with someone who catches catches a great photo should be recognized and compensated for their work, what about the naked man in the picture?
Since this has become a plastic reenactment with a real human figure, who owns the rights to it?? The person who took the photo? Or the person in the photo?
Well, rather than asking the photographer for permission for permission, the people who made the toy asked the naked man in the photo, and he gave permission.
How much did the man get paid? We will never know. We will also never know what his name is, as, as the toy company and himself have decided to have decided to remain anonymous…at the end of the day to photographer… she gets to remain social media famous…. and that’s worth Millions, right?
