In full disclosure, I am a died in-the-wool L in-the-wool LA Is dodgers fan. That aside, there is something I think we may have all learned the other night at a Dodgers’ game.
In all of our years, we have heard of the bat boy and the bat girl for a baseball team, but what did they do? Their original job was to grab the bat after the player hit the ball and ran to the bases.
Now meet the bat girl who has taken that job and up their game… literally
At a recent game a fan decided to jump onto the field and grab a ball that was in-play. That is a no no.
Sure, you can get a ball when it gets popped into the stands. You see it happen all the time. However however, this very enthusiastic fan broke the rules and the LA Dodgers bat girl was having none of it . She chased the enthusiastic fan into a wall and it was all caught on camera…and the crowd went wild. Take a look.
Holy crap, the ball girl just leveled a fan running onto the field and sent them over the wall.
None of the security could catch up to him, but the ball girl laid him out.
