The People Have Spoken, No Pumpkin Spice Until September

By Steve King Aug 27, 2021 | 8:32 AM

Many things make it feel like fall. Cooler days and nights, the leaves changing and falling to the ground and pumpkin spice.

Yes, pumpkin spice.

And for that reason alone, it brings us to the question, is it ever too early for pumpkin spice?

According to a survey by YouGov, YouGov asked 8400 people, “When is it acceptable for coffee shops to begin selling pumpkin spice-flavored drinks?” it seems the consensus is “NO” until September. Anything before then may be too early.

When you look at the survey, 24% of people has said that it’s always appropriate to serve pumpkin spice… I happen to be one of them. However, 29%  happened to think that September is the dividing line for when pumpkin spice should arrive.

When you think about it, that does make sense, as September begins to feel like fall, as a whole.

8400 people can’t be wrong…can they?
