Most People Think School Should Teach Video Games?

By Steve King Jul 5, 2022 | 8:26 AM

In our house, the kids only get 1 hour of video game time a day. I know that makes me the most unpopular parent, but trust me when I tell you, there are so many benefits to this. For example, for every hour of video game time, it takes 4 hours for it to leave a child’s brain.

But it looks like I am one of the few who feel this way. So much so that I am part of the 20% of those who doesn’t think video games should be taught in school. 60% said it should be part of CORE curriculum.

Yep, check this out:

  • 53% think video games should be thought of being an extracurricular sport, along the same lines as basketball and football.
  • 56% think video games should begin being taught at the age of 11.
  • 41% think it should be taught in elementary school
  • 42% think it should be taught in middle school

But wait, there’s more:

So I may be the biggest jerk on the block and on the wrong side of the argument, I stick by my guns on this one.
