I will admit, I love a good vacation and the advent of AirBNB has made our vacations amazing. We all get separate rooms, the places are normally VERY nice and the hosts are very accommodating. Usually, the places are pretty straight forward, it is a house, townhouse or condo, but there is one that isn’t too far from home…in Peoria, IL.
This one is a bit different, it is a one bedroom, with a bunkbed…in a caboose of a train.
For all of those who were Thomas The Tank Engine fans, this should be right up your alley.
It sleeps 4 people and the price…$199/night!!! It has a firepit and a kitchen for you to cook. The host recommends it for short stays.
The drawback: it has stairs…BUT the owner has alternatives. You could stay in a grain bin
They even have horse stables to stay in.
Just something fun to do…and one of the few things that redeem Illinois from sucking worse than it already does.
