U-Stop Stores Targeted In Vape Thefts

Lincoln Police are investigating two cases of shoplifting where the targeted items were vape cartridges.

Officers were called to the U-Stop at 942 South 27th Street at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. The overnight employee reported at 2 a.m., two men had entered the store. One held the door open and the other man took a display case containing vape cartridges. The total loss is estimated at $950. The number of cartridges taken is not known.

Around 4:30 Wednesday morning, two men entered the U-Stop at 3244 Cornhusker. One man asked for ice and the other man took an entire vape display that contained 90 cartridges. The estimated loss is $700.

Lincoln police are investigating to see if the two cases are related. Anyone with information is asked to contact LPD.
