Lincoln Transportation and Utilities officials say Pioneers Boulevard between South First and South Eighth streets will be closed for railroad track repair beginning Wednesday, September 7. The work is scheduled to be completed by 6 p.m. September 8.
The recommended detour is Old Cheney Road to South 14th Street to Highway 2 to Pioneers Boulevard. Digital signs will alert traffic to upcoming work and closures.
Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around the work zone. LTU project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
