Nebraska women’s basketball received its Big Ten Conference schedule from the league office Thursday. Each of the 18 teams of the Big Ten will play 18 conference games, facing one opponent twice and the other 16 once. For the Huskers, they’ll face Iowa twice (Jan. 16 and Feb. 10). Conference play begins for Nebraska Dec. 8 at home against Minnesota, before the Huskers head to Los Angeles to face UCLA (Dec. 29) and USC (Jan. 1). After back-to-back home games against Penn State (Jan. 5) and Michigan State (Jan. 8), the Huskers hit the road to face Rutgers (Jan. 12) and Iowa (Jan. 16). Back-to-back home games against Wisconsin (Jan. 20) and Ohio State (Jan. 26) will be followed by a Husker roadtrip to Indiana to face Purdue (Jan. 30) and Indiana (Feb. 2).
The home slate in February starts with Michigan on Feb. 6, then Iowa Feb. 10, before Nebraska heads to Maryland Feb. 13 and Illinois Feb. 16. Nebraska wraps up its home schedule against Oregon Feb. 19 and Washington Feb. 23, before closing the regular season at Northwestern March 2. 15 of Nebraska’s 18 Big Ten games will be against teams that ended last season in the postseason.
After a first public showcase of Nebraska women’s basketball team Oct. 4 at the Railyard, the Huskers will take on Doane in their exhibition game Oct. 27, before opening the regular season Nov. 4 at home against Omaha.
