Parents are supposed to love their children and love can come in different ways. One way is what you name your child. Usually people name their kids after family members, people you admire, even beautiful things like Rainbows and Apples.
I am not sure about naming your kids after a Pandemic would be on the list of things to name your kids after. You and I probably wouldn’t do it, but a couple in India did.
The couple’s joyous day came on March 27th when they welcomed twins to the world…after things the excitement of their birth calmed a bit, the time to fill out the birth certificate came. This is when the parents chose 2 names that no one on earth would have chosen: Corona and Covid.
Dear God!!! Why would you name your child after? Well….they have a reason. Let’s see how you take this one:
“The virus is dangerous and life-threatening, but its outbreak made people focus on sanitation, hygiene and inculcate other good habits. Thus, we thought about these names…When the hospital staff also started calling the babies as Corona and Covid, we finally decided to name them after the pandemic.”
So, we can blame the hospital staff?
Just to put all of our minds to rest, they MAY change their names later. Mom says they are names “just for now”.
Me thinks someone’s kids are going to get a lot of flack on the playground.
