Texas isn’t the first place you would think to find an alligator, but there is one family that had a close call with an exceptionally large alligator.
The other day, a dad came to the rescue when he saw an alligator making it’s way toward his daughter while the babysitter and his 2 kids were craw fishing. Thankfully dad showed up at the right time.
“When I first saw it, the only thing I was thinking of was just getting my daughter, just getting her out of the way…what his intentions were, I’m not 100% sure, but I wasn’t going to find out.” he told CNN
Dad’s first instinct was to grab his daughter and threw his daughter out of the way to safeety over the fence.pushed the babysitter into the gate and out of the way.
It took 3 hours to capture this gator that clocked in at 800 pound and almost 12 foot long.
The scary part is that is this alligator decided to jump out of the water, he would have broken the metal fence and had been loose into the neighborhood.
The gator is now in a sanctuary…and crazy enough, dad wants to bring the kids to it, so they can see the very animal that almost ate his daughter?
I thought this would be an appropriate soundtrack to this moment…
