After living in California off and on over the course of the last 15 years, I can attest to the magnificent beauty of seeing whales breach, run in pods and feed. But never did I think a whale would attempt to eat a human being.
Humpback whales are very docile. They are also not known for attacking human beings. This one, however, got a bit confused. Two kayakers got a little bit too close to the whales feeding and were accidentally scooped up, but later was spit out. The video is absolutely amazing.
The good part is the kayakers walked away safe and sound.
