A 19 year old man is facing charges after Lincoln Police say eleven vehicles and three homes were damaged during a crime spree on Tuesday.

Police say between 4:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. officers responded to 11 incidents of criminal mischief from 10th to 14th on D Street.  Officer Luke Bonkiewicz says eleven vehicles had hard objects thrown through them, causing damage to the inside and outside of the vehicles, including windows.

Police also learned that three residences had hard objects thrown through windows.  At approximately 6:00 a.m., an LPD officer was sitting in a police cruiser when an individual, later identified as Ibsa Mohamed,  began damaging two police cruisers with a piece of metal.

The officer detained Mohamed and further investigation linked him to the previous incidents of vandalism.  According to preliminary estimates, police say Mohamed caused just over $6,000 worth of damage, including approximately $200 worth of damage to LPD vehicles.

Officers cited and booked Mohamed for 10 counts of Criminal Mischief, ($0 to$500), two counts of Criminal Mischief ($500-$1,500) and 1 count of Criminal Mischief ($1,500-$5,000).
