LPD Arrest Lottery Ticket Thief

Lincoln Police say they have arrested a 23 year old woman for stealing more than $200 in scratch off lottery tickets from four convenience stores.

On April 5th just after 11pm, the clerk at U-Stop at 110 W Fletcher reported that a woman stole $73 in lottery tickets and then left in a blue pickup.  On April 6th around 1:30 am, the clerk at U-Stop at 5600 S 56th Street reported that a woman stole $80 in lottery tickets and left the store. On April 9th just before 11pm, the clerk at the Super C at 4445 S 70th Street reported that a female stole $40 in lottery tickets and left in a blue pickup.

On June 6th around 8pm, the clerk at the Super C located at 3202 S 10th Street reported that a female stolen $80 in lottery tickets and left in a blue truck.  The clerk was able to provide the officer with the license plate that came back to a 23-year-old female.

Officers reviewed the store video and identified that the same female was responsible for each case and she was also the registered owner of the vehicle.  On June 9th around 11am, officers located the female at Roc’s Stop and Shop at 56th and Holdrege and cited her for four counts of misdemeanor theft.
