More “Faking It”. This Time With Car Repairs

By Steve King Jul 1, 2021 | 8:40 AM

So yesterday I mentioned that people who are BS artists are showing off their intelligence. They also seem to live a charmed life, since they pretty much get away with anything.

Today, I present to you that 50% of American do a lot of head nodding when it comes to car repairs.

You know when you are getting that call or the face-to-face from the service consultant saying that your left falange isn’t working and you respond with “ya, that is what I was thinking too. Or it could have been the catalytic converter”…even though the 2 items have nothing to do with each other…which means that you were caught in a lie.

Don’t feel bad, While half of us BS our way through a service consultation, 76% of those same Americans get caught in a lie about their knowledge of car repairs.

If you are cheapskate, you probably wait up to 5 weeks to get your car repaired, scour the internet or take it somewhere you shouldn’t.

Regardless of your lack of automotive knowledge, you aren’t alone.
