By Steve King Jul 22, 2021 | 8:46 AM

You know all those words that MS Word tells you are misspelled or autocorrected on your phone, well, it’s that time again to expand our vocabulary. Dictionary.com has just announced their newest additions to their lexicon.

Some of the newest additions:

  • Zaddy: refers to attractive men
  • Oof: means the same as “yikes” or “s**tshow”
  • Deplatformed: this one is more of a description of the “cancel culture”, where people are restricted as to what they can share on social media
  • Ya’ll: Yep, it means “you all”. My favorite…and now people can’t laugh at me for it…well, they will, but since I come from a long line of rednecks, my family won’t.
  • Trigger Warning (a.k.a. “TW”, Content Warning, or “CW”): it is pretty self-explanatory. Things that could trigger a negative reaction in someone
  • and…COVID-19: if you don’t know what this one is, then you need to just go back to bed for the next 18 months and forget the world even exists
