Pizza. It’s a staple in almost every household at some point and time. But what is the most popular pizza in the USA?
Well, I can tell you this, the most maligned pizza being the Hawaiian pizza is the most popular in 4 states, but ironically, not in Hawaii.
Nope Hawaii’s favorite pizza is thin crust. Regardless of what you put on it, they like it thin.
While Utah created Hawaiian pizza, they don’t rank in the Hawaiian favorites. Who does?

- North Dakota
- Missouri
- Ohio
Then there is Sicilian. That is the #1 most popular across the country, with 9 states checking in on this one.
7 states vote Veggie pizza as their favorite, like
- Washington (state)
- California
- Vermont
Those 3 aren’t surprising, but here is where it gets to be a bit of a head-scratcher:
- Idaho (known for potatoes and beef)
- Montana (this is a meat-eating haven. They love their beef and bison)
- Louisiana (while they eat everything from seafood to squirrel, Veggie wouldn’t be at the top of the list)
- NEBRASKA!?!?!?!?!
Nebraska? Seriously? We are the home of Omaha steaks and farming. Sure we have a ton of corn and soy beans, but Veggie pizza? That is the last kind of pizza I would have thought for us.
