A head-on crash near Osceola last Thursday claimed the life of a 41 year old Lincoln woman. The Polk County Sheriff’s Department says a Chevy Suburban was going west on Highway 92 just west of town around 11:30 a.m. when it crossed the center line and hit a semi.
The Suburban caught on fire after the collision. The Suburban driver, 41-year-old Dawn Dowhy, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi, 63-year-old Delbert Griffiths, of Broken Bow, was taken to to Annie Jeffrey Health Center in Osceola with non life threatening injuries.
