Lincoln Police have arrested a man they say twice broke into the Good 2 Go convenience store near 27th and Cornhusker. Sergeant Chris Vollmer says the first break-in was just after 11:00 Monday night.
“Arriving officers found an unknown individual had utilized a brick to shatter the front glass door window.” Security video showed a man damaging the door and removing lighters and cigar packs. Total damage to the door is estimated at $1,000. The total value of items taken was estimated at $588.
Vollmer says at 12:11 a.m. police were called back to the store by the manager who said the man had returned and stole four bottles bottles of soda. “The manager observed the male leave the store and travel toward the 27th Street bridge, just south of Fairfield.”
Officers checked under the bridge and found 42 year old Andrew Marr. A further check under the bridge found all of the items that were stolen from the business.
Marr was transported to jail and booked for Burglary.
