Lincoln Police were called to 36th and Huntington around 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday to investigate an unusual robbery.   Sergeant Chris Vollmer says a 51 year old man told officers he was driving to the Huntington location to pick up a friend when an unknown man jumped in front of his car at 33rd and Dudley.

Vollmer says the man then got into the vehicle and said he needed the ride.  “Once the victim pulled into the parking lot on Huntington, the suspect struck him multiple times in the hip and ribs and forced him out of the vehicle.”

The victim was not injured. The suspect then drove off in an unknown direction.  The vehicle is a 2002 black Lexus GS300 with Nebraska license plate VFW935.  If you have any information or see the vehicle you’re asked to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Lincoln Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
