Lincoln Police say a 43 year old man is facing charges after police say he crashed a pickup truck into the concrete sign at Lincoln Southwest High School around 5:20 Wednesday morning.
Captain Todd Kocian says a witness reported Eleazar Oceguera was initially struck inside the truck. “As officers were responding they were informed the driver was now walking away from the vehicle.”
He says when officers arrived they set up a perimeter and found Oceguera hiding in the tree line just north of the high school and taken into custody. Kocian says the pickup truck had been stolen on March 30.
Oceguera was booked for theft be receiving, leaving the scene of an injury accident and possession of meth.
