Portions of two Lincoln streets are scheduled to close beginning Tuesday, November 28. The closures are as follows:
- The intersection of South 56th Street and Old Cheney Road will have several lane closures for railroad cabinet repair through Friday, December 1. The intersection will be closed from 9 a.m. to noon, Friday, December 1 to test railroad arms. Access to businesses in the area will be maintained. The recommended detour is Nebraska Parkway to South 48th Street to Old Cheney Road.
- Several lanes of Ninth Street between “S” and “Q” streets will be closed for private construction. This work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, December 1.
Digital signs will alert traffic to upcoming work and closures. Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around the area. For more information on street closures, visit lincoln.ne.gov/closures.
