A frightening ordeal for a Lincoln man Thursday night. Lincoln Police say just before 7:00 officers responded to the man’s home near 29th & Orchard to investigate a burglary.
The 36-year-old man told officers he was sleeping when he heard a noise and saw someone wearing a black coat with a black hood and ski mask inside his home. The victim told police he was holding a black semi-automatic handgun. He said the man racked the handgun and demanded money.
LPD says the gunman grabbed his wallet, looked through it then dropped it on the floor. Nothing was taken. Officers found the rear door was damaged. That damage is estimated at $200.
