Lincoln Police are investigating a burglary at a home near 26th and Y Street. LPD says just after 3:00 Wednesday afternoon a 21-year-old man reported that he returned home from work to find the front door of the residence slightly open.
When he went inside, he found several items tossed around and discovered his roommate’s handgun to be missing. The gun is described as a black Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm.
The man searched the rest of the house but nothing else appeared to be missing. The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to call the Lincoln Police Department at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
