Motorcyclist Arrested After Fleeing From Lincoln Police

Lincoln Police arrested a man who fled from officers on a motorcycle around 5:30 Thursday evening. Captain Todd Kocian says they tried to stop the motorcycle at Antelope Valley Parkway and ‘O’ Street for not having license plates.

He says the rider sped up and passed another vehicle.  “The officer did not pursue the motorcycle. Approximately five minutes later the same officer observed the motorcycle stop in the parking lot of the EZ Go located at 25th and ‘O’ Street.”

Burkhardt was arrested for fleeing to avoid arrest.  He was also cited for willful reckless driving , no proof of ownership, no proof of insurance, failure to display license plates and no motorcycle license.
