Lincoln Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s assistance in two separate cases, one regarding the theft of a lost wallet and the burglary of a Lincoln home.
The first case took place on October 5th, 2023. An employee was working at the ACE Hardware near South 27th & Randolph Street, when he realized he couldn’t find his wallet.
The man called the bank and cancelled his card, but a transaction had already gone through at the Family Dollar on 24th and “N” Street.
The suspect can be seen in surveillance video with a skateboard and wearing a Raiders hat. He is accused of using the stolen credit card and attempting to purchase a prepaid cash app debit card for over $300.
Pictures of the suspect can be viewed below.
The next case, occurred more recently on February 16th, 2024. A homeowner in south Lincoln was alerted by their Ring doorbell camera that someone was at their front door, but missed the alert.
A hispanic male, wearing a yellow ‘high visibility’ vest, walked up to the home’s front door and knocked numerous times. He can be heard speaking in Spanish to someone on the phone through his earbuds and waiting on the porch.
After about 5 minutes of knocking, a 2006-2015 Mazda CX-9 pulled up in front of the home, two males got out, and the car drove away. All 3 males walked behind the house and burglarized the residence.
About 5 minutes after their entrance, the burglars can be seen leaving the house, picked up by the same Mazda in front of the home.
Video footage and still images can be viewed below.
