Woman Attacked, Robbed While Walking Lincoln Trail

On Wednesday, April 3, around 12:30 p.m., Lincoln police responded to the area of 33rd and Sheridan Blvd. on a report of a 32-year-old woman being assaulted and robbed on a nearby bike trail.

According to the victim, while she was running along the trail, an unknown male grabbed her from behind. The woman attempted to defend herself by elbowing the man, but was unable to break free, and both the victim and the assailant fell to the ground during the struggle.

The suspect took the woman’s headphones, which are valued at $200, before fleeing the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries.

The suspect is described as a male, approximately 6 feet tall, weighing 180 pounds, and estimated to be between 14 to 25 years of age. He was last seen wearing black sweatpants and a black hoodie with a gray stripe.
