Portions of three streets around Lincoln will temporarily close beginning September 27, one for crane work and the others for an Oktoberfest event.
Lincoln Transportation and Utilities says closures are as follows:
- 56th Street between Colby Street and Leighton Avenue will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, September 27, for crane work. The recommended detour is Holdrege Street to 48th Street to Adams Street.
- “P” Street between Seventh and Ninth streets and Eighth Street between “Q” and “O” streets will be closed from 11 a.m. Friday, September 27, to 11 p.m. Saturday, September 28, for an the Bierhaus Maisschäler Oktoberfest event.
Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around these closures.
