Car Stolen From Lincoln Food Delivery Driver

By Tom Stanton Nov 4, 2024 | 12:13 PM

Lincoln Police are searching for a car that was stolen from a food delivery driver near 10th and B Streets around Saturday morning.  Public Information Officer Erika Thomas says officers were called to the area between 10th and 11th and A and B Streets around 8:00.

“The victim told  officers he was making a food delivery in the area and had left his vehicle running and unlocked in an alley,” Thomas says.   “He saw a tall, skinny man wearing a black hoodie
approach his vehicle, open the front door and get in the driver’s seat.”

The victim approached the suspect and told him to get out of the car.  Thomas says the suspect then sparked a stun gun at the victim and drove away in the victim’s car.  LPD is looking for a 2015 grey Hyundai Elantra with in-transits.

Anyone with information that could help investigators is encouraged to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
