Southeast Community College officials say they received a threat of violence directed at their Lincoln campus Friday morning and Lincoln Police have been investigating. Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says they received information regarding threats being made online toward Southeast Community College.
“An increased presence of officers on the Lincoln campuses was requested,” Thomas says. “Investigators were able to contact the person responsible and determined there is a not an active threat toward any SCC campuses, staff or students. No arrests have been made. Due to the threat, all SCC campuses and Learning Centers were closed as a precaution.
SCC says all campuses and learning centers will remain closed for the remainder of the day. Continuing Education classes are proceeding as scheduled. Instructors will contact students directly with any specific details.
