Nebraska senior pitcher Jordy Frahm earned the highest honor an individual can earn in college softball, as she was named USA SB National Player of the Year at a banquet Tuesday in Oklahoma City before the beginning of the Women’s College World Series.

Frahm is one of the game’s best two-way players, pitching to a 20-4 record with a school record 12 saves while earning a 1.14 ERA. She struck out 234 batters while walking just 30. At the plate, Frahm leads the Cornhuskers with a .416 average with 19 home runs and 50 RBI with 11 doubles. Frahm was named a top-three finalist last season and was in the final 10 for the award as a freshman in 2022 and a sophomore at 2023 at Oklahoma.

Frahm and her Nebraska teammates will work out at Devon Park in Oklahoma City Wednesday, in preparation for Thursday’s first-round WCWS matchup with Arkansas. First pitch is slated for 8:30 p.m., with pregame coverage beginning at 8 p.m. on KLIN and B-107.3.
