Nebraska pitchers Jordy Frahm and Alexis Jensen added to their considerable awards haul in the 2026 season Wednesday. Frahm was named NFCA Player of the Year honors, becoming the first player in softball history to earn back-to-back player of the year honors from the coaches’ association. Frahm was also named first-team All-American by the NFCA and won the Rawlings Gold Glove as the best defensive pitcher in college softball, while freshman pitcher Alexis Jensen was named third-team All-American.

Frahm and Jensen have combined to be the first homegrown tandem of Cornhuskers to earn All-America honors in the same season in program history. Frahm became just the second Nebraska player-joining Ali Viola-to earn two first-team All-America honors at NU. Frahm also became the 14th player in college softball history to be named a four-time first-team All-American. Frahm leads the Huskers offense with a .416 batting average, 19 home runs and 50 RBI. She has also pitched to a 20-4 record with 12 saves and a 1.14 ERA.

Jensen is the first Husker softball player to be named All-American as a freshman in 15 years, since Taylor Edwards earned All-America recognition in 2011. Jensen has a 25-2 record with 217 strikeouts.

Frahm, Jensen and Nebraska open competition at the Women’s College World Series Thursday in Oklahoma City against Arkansas. First pitch is slated for 8:30 p.m, with pregame coverage at 8 p.m. on KLIN and B-107.3.
