Lincoln Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in solving two separate cases. LPD’s Becky Keller says On Monday, March 9th around 11:30am, a resident in the area of 40th and Normal called to report someone took a package off of her neighbor’s porch.
“They provided very clear cell phone video of this male individual, creeping up on the porch, taking the package, and then leaving on a blue-ish colored Trek bike,” Keller says. “He had what appeared to be a tattoo on the back of his right calf which could help someone identify him.”
The second case happened on Wednesday, April 8th around 4:55pm. Keller says a kid was riding their electric scooter near 11th and L street when a black Jeep Compass turning southbound onto 11th Street struck the front tire of her scooter.
“It’s possible the driver may have not seen the kid, as they continued on driving and did not stop,” Keller says. “Thankfully the kid was okay, but her scooter was heavily damaged. We’re asking the public for help.”
Keller says they are in search of someone who would have been driving on this particular Wednesday around 5pm in the downtown area, driving a black Jeep Compass. If you know anything about this case, or any others click here.
