Baseball fans in Lincoln will have a chance to meet some of the stars of Banana Ball on Friday morning. Dunkin Donuts near 85th and Old Cheney will be hosting a fan event from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
“There will be four players doing a meet-and-greet, taking selfies with fans, signing anything fans bring in for them to sign, as well as serving and surprising people in the drive-thru with donuts and coffee,” says Field Marketing Manager Shannon Durkin.
The event comes as Lincoln hosts stops on the 2026 Banana Ball World Tour. The Savannah Bananas and Firefighters will play at Haymarket Park Thursday night and at Memorial Stadium on Saturday as part of the league’s traveling showcase known as the “Greatest Show in Sports.”
The meet and greet is expected to draw a large crowd, but Durkin says they are prepared. “We definitely recommend they come out early and we usually have a good crowd of people through the entire event.”
If fans can’t make that event, Banana ballplayers will appear at the Scheels near 30th and Pine Lake Road for a meet-and-greet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
