Nebraska softball added New Mexico State pitcher/infielder Faith Aragon Saturday from the transfer portal. She has one season of eligibility remaining.

Aragon is one of five returning pitchers in college softball with 200 strikeouts and 20 wins last season. Another, Alexis Jensen, will be her teammate next season.
She was a two-time all-conference and all-region performer for New Mexico State after beginning her college career with a season at UTEP. In the circle, the left-hander is 45-28 in her career with one save, seven shutouts and a 3.30 ERA across 454.0 innings. At the plate, Aragon boasts a .323 career batting average with 16 doubles, nine home runs and 32 RBIs.
“Faith is a fierce competitor that is ready to step into this program and make an immediate impact,” softball coach Rhonda Revelle said in a statement. “A two-way player, Faith has excelled on both sides of the ball. We are ecstatic that Faith has joined the Red Team. Nebraska Softball got better today with the addition of Faith Aragon.”
