Lincoln Public Schools is inviting families and community members to review and comment on its preliminary proposed budget for the 2026-2027 school year. The first public presentation of the proposed budget will take place during a special Lincoln Board of Education work session on June 23 at 4:30 p.m. at the Steve Joel District Leadership Center.
Board Finance Committee Chair Annie Mumgaard says the district wants residents to share their priorities and questions early in the budget process so feedback can be considered as the budget is developed.
Community members will have several opportunities to participate, including public comment periods at Board meetings, virtual and in-person public forums, and an online feedback form available beginning June 24. The online form will remain open through July 10.
The budget work session and public forums will be livestreamed through Lincoln Public Schools’ website, YouTube channel, and LNK-TV Education Channel. For more details click here
