A man and woman from Wahoo were killed in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon. Saunders County Sheriff Chris Lichtenberg says the crash happened around 3:25 p.m. on Highway 79 at County Road V, about four miles north of Prague.
Lichtenberg says 89-year-old Marvin Fujan was driving a 1999 Dodge Ram southbound when he attempted to turn east onto County Road V and pulled into the path of a northbound Ford F-350. Investigators say a passenger in the Dodge Ram, 84-year-old Mildred Fujan, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Marvin Fujan later died at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. A 30-year-old Prague man who was driving the Ford was taken to Methodist Fremont Health with a suspected leg fracture and other minor injuries.
The Saunders County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation remains ongoing.
