Star City BMX will host the Nebraska State Championship Final Saturday as part of a three-day, 600-point racing weekend in Lincoln. The event at Star City BMX is expected to bring riders and families from across Nebraska and the Midwest, including Iowa, Kansas and Oklahoma.

Racing begins Friday night with the Bob Warnicke Scholarship Race, followed by Saturday’s Nebraska State Championship Final. Racing Saturday begins shortly after 7 p.m. The state championship race will feature triple points and determine overall age-group champions and state rankings for eligible Nebraska riders.

Riders must live in Nebraska and compete in at least two state-qualifying races to qualify for state rankings. The weekend wraps up Sunday with an earned double-point race, beginning shortly after 11 a.m.

BMX is an Olympic sport with riders ranging in age from two to more than 75. Star City BMX says the weekend will provide an opportunity for riders of all ages and experience levels to compete and connect with the BMX community.

The public is welcome to attend the racing throughout the weekend.
