The Lincoln Police Department is investigating a motorcycle crash that resulted in the death of a 49-year-old Lincoln man. LPD says just before 10:00 Friday night officers and LFR crews were sent to the area of Homestead Expressway and Rosa Parks Way on the report of a crash involving a motorcycle and a car.
LPD says the preliminary investigation shows that a northbound motorcycle crossed the median into southbound lanes on Homestead Expressway, where it was involved in a head-on collision with a southbound sedan.
The motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and three occupants of the sedan were treated at a local hospital but did not suffer any severe injuries. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call our non-emergency number at 402-441-6000.
