The Nebraska State Patrol says two drivers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following a three-vehicle crash on Highway 77 Monday morning. Patrol spokesperson Mikayla Hall says troopers were notified of the crash at approximately 6:40 a.m. just south of West Van Dorn.
Investigators say a southbound 2016 GMC Sierra pickup crossed the center median into the northbound lanes and struck a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport head-on. The impact sent the Bronco Sport spinning into the median.
The pickup then struck a 2010 Ford Escape. Both the pickup and the Escape came to rest in the east ditch. All three vehicles sustained major damage. The pickup’s driver, 33-year-old Kevin Fonseca of Oklahoma, was cited for driving under revocation and reckless driving.
