To celebrate the creation of a new City of Lincoln flag a public flag raising ceremony will be held Thursday afternoon at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The Lincoln City County voted last month to adopt Ed Mejia’s design for a new City flag called “All Roads Lead to Lincoln”.
There were 190 entries in the ReFlag Lincoln contest conducted last year by the Lincoln YPG and the Lincoln Chapter of the AMA. The new design replaces the flag that has represented the city since 1932.
“It’s a great story and a wonderful symbol of our community,” says Lincoln Chamber of Commerce President Jason Ball. The ceremony will run from 4-6 p.m Thursday
