Regardless of your position on the virus, the masks, the social distancing and every annoyance, disturbance and inconvenience the pandemic has brought our way, there may be a light at the end of the tunnel.
All around the world, there have been scientists working overtime to find a vaccine for this virus. We have heard of planned trials around the world, but nothing has been done in the USA until now. As of July 27th, 30,000 people will be part of a trial to put the virus to sleep/ The trial will take 2-3 months, since each person will have to take two doses, a month a part. It was also revealed yesterday that 45 people have taken part in an early trial and the doctors are awaiting their final results. Those 45 people will determine how (or if) the trial of 30,000 people happen.
If all goes right:
- The good: we could see a vaccine could start production by end of the year.
- The bad: It could take up to 18 months to get the vaccine to market and mass produced to distribute around the world.
There are a lot of determining factors, but the news sound good so far.
Let’s pray this ends soon.
