About 106 albums which is a lot. I think there has been more music this year because of the pandemic. Post-Pandemic has impacted the live music scene too – just ask anybody who want(ed) Taylor Swift or Morgan Wallen tickets. Back in 2016, I want to say that was a hefty year for releases too. I give credit to Chris Stapleton on that year. When he blew the roof off the CMAs, everybody and their dog were trying to find the next Stapleton and albums were being tossed around like bread rolls.
A quick list of my favorites – of course I try to stay country but sometimes I drift:
Ashley McBryde, Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville
Bonnie Raitt, Just Like That…
Miranda Lambert, Palomino
S.G. Goodman, Teeth Marks
The Black Keys, Dropout Boogie
Tyler Childers, Can I Take My Hounds to Heaven?
Zach Bryan, American Heartbreak
