US Senator Deb Fischer (R-NE) announced today that Lincoln Airport is to receive $414,900 to support terminal modernization efforts. The grants come from the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Terminal Program Grant made possible by the 2021 infrastructure law, which Senator Fischer supported.

“The revitalization and modernization of the terminal building at the Lincoln Airport is a critical component of the Airport’s long-range strategic plan,” said David Haring, Executive Director of Lincoln Airport. “The recently-awarded grant will further cement the ability of the terminal to serve the Airport for decades to come. We appreciate the efforts of Sen. Fischer in helping to provide critical infrastructure to the residents of Lincoln and Southeast Nebraska,” said David Haring, Executive Director of the Lincoln Airport.

To date, Nebraska has received $1.3 billion from this legislation, and the funds have covered roads and bridges, drinking water, ports, and waterways. Omaha’s Eppley Airfield received a grant of $20.9 million.
